Bloody Mary

Posted : 14 years, 11 months ago on 11 May 2009 09:48 (A review of Bloody Mary (2006))

Whoever came up with this urban legend is a genius. this legend is so scary that you don't even need to know the back story for it to work. when i was a kid i think there was some vague story about a woman named Mary having her baby killed or something... it doesn't matter. the only important part is that you're supposed to go into a dark room alone with just a candle and say 'bloody Mary' three times into a mirror which makes Mary appear. i remember doing this with friends when i was seven or eight in our center bathroom (which had no windows) and being absolutely convinced that if i said it all three times, a woman covered in blood would be behind the shower curtain in the mirror's reflection. i could only say her name twice before running out yelling.

Alien Raiders

Posted : 14 years, 11 months ago on 9 May 2009 08:32 (A review of Alien Raiders)

This is a low budget movie about a group of people searching for infected individuals who wear the virus of an alien inside their bodies. In their quest, they get into a supermarket and start testing hostages until they get with the infected one they wanted to liquidate. Some effects are not bad. So to sum-up just 5 of 10.

Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead

Posted : 14 years, 11 months ago on 9 May 2009 05:44 (A review of Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead (2006))

When the American Chicken Bunker, a military-themed fried-chicken chain, builds a restaurant on the site of an ancient Indian burial ground, local protectors aren't the only ones crying fowl! The previous tenants, fueled by a supernatural force, take "possession" of the food and those who eat it, and the survivors discover that they must band together before they themselves become the other white meat!

Film lovers have been starved for sustenance. The relentless diet of predictability and pretense Hollywood has been serving up just doesn't cut it. Poultrygeist is hearty food for thought.

In Poultrygeist, Troma takes on the the fast-food industry-skewering the soulless restaurateurs-in the world's first horror-comedy film to feature zombie chickens, American Indians and a bit of singing and dancing!

It's Poultrygeist!

The Harvest Project

Posted : 14 years, 11 months ago on 9 May 2009 05:27 (A review of The Harvest Project)

The Harvest Project asks the question: What would you do to save the life of someone you love? By the end of the movie it is apparent that the answer might not be so clear. This is a story about the consequences of desperate actions, of blind greed, and of startling sacrifice.
